Ah, Bordentown, New Jersey ... and specifically the Ramada Inn ... Once again, that little oasis just off Exit 7 of the New Jersey Turnpike will become a pulp collecting mecca. We'll have the usual fine display room jam-packed with all sorts of stuff. There's something for everyone, whether you collect H.P. Lovecraft, Dashiell Hammett, The Shadow and Doc Savage, Argosy and Black Mask ... the list cound quite possibly be endless ... We have ten vendors already signed up, and we'll update the website as more people join in the fun. There might be some new additions to the site, like a wordpress blog to make updates easier ... and more stuff ... more! Always more!

WINDY CITY MEMORIES
The pulpwood jungle of Lombard, Illinois ...

I traveled to the Windy City Pulp & Paperback show a few months ago. This marks only the second time that I've attended that show in its long history. It helped that Frontier Airlines flies from Trenton to Chicago Midway -- no more long schleps to Philadelphia International or Newark Liberty.

As always, it was a blast to hang out with John DeWalt, David Saunders, Richard Meli, Mike Chomko, and a cast of thousands. Highlights of the show included the Sax Rhomer/Fu Manchu panel, the auction featuring a slideshow of rare gems, and the screening room. Ed Hulse screened several H.P. Lovecraft related items, including Pickman's Model, an epsiode of Rod Serling's Night Galley, which was worth watching just to see Bradford Dillman as Pickford.

I kept my purchases to a minimum since I was traveling by air (and opted for the less expensive "no luggage" option). Now, onward to Pulpfest in July!
